“Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” – Michelangelo
This is how Freddy Gershon approaches his jewelry design. He places the jewels, be it diamonds, gold, or precious stones in front of him and allows the design inherent in them to present itself to him. In a world of mass production, Freddy Gershon is one of a handful of jewelers who has maintained the old tradition of handmade one of a kind jewelry. He takes gold, platinum, diamonds and colored stones and puts them all on his bench where he allows the creation of a new heirloom to take place.
Freddy Gershon opened his first store in 1971. The name of that store was Clock Tique. He specialized in watch repairs, clock repairs, and restoration of antique jewelry. In 1975 he opened Gershon Jewelers as a full jewelry store out of his desire to expand his creative potential as a jeweler. Gershon Jewelers is in its 42nd year of designing and repairing fine jewelry. Freddy’s designs are not only beautiful but function ideally as the mechanics of a fine watch.
